The four-day “JYJ Membership Week” wrapped up Sunday with about 17,000 fans of the trio gathering to share their affection for the boy band.
“The event was intended to bring fans of JYJ closer to the singers and we have managed to pull it off,” Back Chang-ju, CEO of JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment, said in a press release. The agency said about 4,000 fans from Japan flew in to see the trio.

The event at SETEC in southern Seoul consisted of three sections highlighting the members’ artistic talents, concerts and interaction with the fans. Visitors were able to take pictures with life-size panels of the members ― Kim Jun-su, Kim Jae-joong and Park Yu-chun ― and enjoy their artwork exhibited at the hall, watch a video of the group’s Tokyo Dome Concert held in April, as well as take in a media facade show of the members’ performances over free drinks.
The three members reportedly spent three days producing their own pieces of art, which were later auctioned for charity.
Kim Jun-su and Park Yu-chun also held a fan meeting, where they shared their ideas about life, music and showbiz.
“I haven’t thought of what to show you in the future but one thing for sure is that I want the Membership Week to continue, and become an event where the members and fans can create fond memories,” Kim Jun-su said at the meeting.
JYJ was formed in 2010 after the three former members of TVXQ filed a suit against their then agency, S.M. Entertainment, claiming that their 13-year contract was unjust. The two sides settled out of court.
Since then, Park has branched out into acting, appearing in a series of TV dramas including “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” “Ripley,” “Rooftop Prince” and “I Miss You.” Kim Jae-joong has also appeared in a number of TV dramas, including “Protect the Boss” and “Dr. Jin” as well as the film “Code Name: Jackal,” while Kim Jun-su focused on musicals, starring in “Elisabeth,” “Mozart” and “Tears of Heaven.”
As a group, JYJ has released two regular albums ― one in English and the other in Korean, which topped music charts ― and performed on international tours.
Yoochun’s dramas SungKyunKwan Scandal, Miss Ripley and Rooftop Prince as well as Jaejoong’s drama Protect the Boss are all mentionned in this book. It’s a special book giving informations like filming locations, plot, or characters, related to the dramas that were filmed in Seoul. There are in total 9 pages related to Yoochun and Jaejoong inside.
